DAY TRIP

I didn't go to Alton Towers because first I didn't know anybody in the class so I would have been on my tod, also Im not a theme park person. Im not very good with heights and don't like getting spun around because I get sick.
Do you think someone like me should get forced to get on rides? Is that being bad or helpful for that person to get over their fear?

BODY MODIFICATION

I've always been interested in tattoos but have never actually got one. My manager at work has them all over his arms and wrists. They are rubbing off though - not very clear.
This may sound very sad but I've always wanted the name of my (future)wife tattooed on my arm in some sort of heart or flower. Yes you all can say it awwwwwww!
I don't think its a bad thing even though in my religion its band. I don't like freaky piercing though - that should be against the law or something! I mean a ring through your c**K, how eeeerrrrrggg!!!!

Dannielle had a bad encounter on a bus. Its really worrying that kids go on busses and threaten and steal. I really don't know what I do if I was in that situation probs jump out of the fire escape!
Anyway it got me thinking of a guy who I used to work with.
He was on a bus and a couple of older lads (about 19-21, he's 16) asked him for his phone. He came out with "I'm not carphonewarehouse!" Soooo funny! They got his phone anyway and got off. Good reply nevertheless.

LAST LECTURE.

Our last lecture was rather over long and not very interesting in my opinion - however I was kind stressing over my Media exam afew hours later. I didn't really understand the importance and relevance of his lecture, I'm still confused now!
Anyway it doesn't matter now - I shall miss this module probably more than my others.

MASTURBATION

This lecuture was sooooo long ago but here goes!
The hand out we were given called 'Portnoy's Complaint' was soooo hilarious!
There are lads/also lasses! out there who are like the main character - its just so sad. Masturbating at every oportunity is just discusting and shows lack of self control. The argument for is that he was at the beginning of puberty. That doesn't wash with me. I was that age not to long ago and I had the same urges but didn't carry on like he did.

Anntoinette made a very good point in her blog regarding the lecture on 'Bandits'.
She says that it never occurred to her that what Robin Hood was doing was bad as he was stealing - even if it was from the rich. This makes me think that staling is still staling regardless of who its off. Also she raised the idea that she could have been a victim of Robin Hood as well all could because we are better off than most. I would also be pissed if he did this to me and if I ever caught him in my things I would kick his ass.

ASSESSMENT 2

I have done a 'Big Brother' style audition tape for my assignment. I'm just taking a break from it, as I'm struggling with remembering my lines and not looking down at my script when looking into the camera. I've done about 10 takes! I have another problem that I'm not sure how to transfer the camera tape to cassette and worried about how it turns out.
Anyway I'm off for another go.

I was supprised to read that Becky and some of her friends decided not to sit through the whole 'Religion' lecture because of the prayer at the beginning.
It was a Christian prayer, so as a Muslim I didn't relate to it. However I never thought of walking out because of it. They were 'uncomfortable' with this prayer at the beginning - so was I. But you living in this society you have to be open to everyone's faiths and beliefs.

before I break the world record for the most blogs in one day I just want to Finnish of with this.
Hannibal Lecter was voted the number 1 villain of all time. on a channel 4 program over Christmas. I couldn't agree more - I mean who wants to die by getting eaten alive!
I am surprised that John Doe from the film Seven or Patrick Bateman from 'American Psycho' didn't get into the top 100. If I met them in real life I would lock the door and throw away the key - and that's just for me!!!!!!

SALES SHOPPING

Today I decided to go shopping and see if I could find any good bargains. I did but the amount of people in the city centre and bull ring was unnabbbbleavable!!!!!!!
I have NEVER seen sooooooooooo many people in all my life. I should and tried to be a 'bad boy' and push my way thorough the crowds and go to every single shop but thought 'nahhhh its not worth it'.
But don't worry shops as he said in this film "I'll be back!"

Having read Mark's Blog about the film, I have very surprised by his extreme reaction. Yes it was devoid of morals, yes it was disturbing, however I believe that if Larry Clark hadn't made this film, someone else would have. Their are kids out there who do these things - have underage sex, take drugs etc. I'm not saying this is an accurate potrail of teenage life, but its pretty close. I'm sorry if you were disturbed by this but that's the way it is these days however everyone gets their just deserts in the end.
If you do happen to watch it again, try a screening of this film its bloody hilarious!!!

(NOT A) BAD CHRISTMAS

I hope everyone had a wicked Christmas. I know I did!!
For once everything went on-time and smoothly and I didn't have my usual opinionated outburst!!!
Anyway what made my Christmas was the Eastenders episode. For once it wasn't depressing!!!!
It had a happy ending and I have to congratulate the producers and writers for being brave and doing this.

TELLING LIES WITH INTEGRITY.

Yo!
Todays session was quite informative about what kinds of lies are told everyday and why they told.
When we had to write on the piece of paper about what is the biggest lie Ive ever told and what is the biggest lie someone has told me I didn't write anything.
This is because no-one has ever told me a 'big lie' nor have I told one myself. This is becasue Im the type of person who is blatant and tell it how it is. I'm not saying i don't tell lies, what I am saying is if something has to be said I will say it. I wont bite my tongue and keep quiet - or lie.
The resons I do lie however are usual to get myself or someone else out of trouble or to cover a embarrising story or situation eg. if one of my mates fancies someone and I get asked by their friends "does so-on-so fancy her/him".

ps.thanx 4 showing a clip from 'Red Dwarf' becasue I love that program soooooooooooo much. I saw that particular episode the week before and was still laughing when the clip came on. The girl next to me thought I was mad. I'm not disagreeing.

RELIGION

Hey all.
today's lesson I felt I couldn't relate to because it was mostly based on Christian. Nevertheless I was intrigued to find out information about the Jehovas Messengers.
I say I'm quite religious but I try not to preach my religion to people as I no everyone is different and are not interested.
I'm thinking of basing my next assignment on religion because its the only one I have particular existing knowledge on.

KIDS

Having seen this film before I knew what to expects, but I was rather surprised to find people felt this film as being "shocking" and "disgusting". I general felt that many people have experienced scenes and situations in that film, however their were a few who did admit to this.
The 'bad' things that went on in that film are true to life but some situations such as the younger kids smoking and talking about sex were rather exaggerated.
The film is hard hitting and disturbing but I feel that this representation of life should be shown to help parents and kids deal with problems.
Web sites like this are very helpful for teens with questions they feel uneasy about talking to with family or friends.

SMOKING

Today's session on smoking didn't really relate to me - as an avoid non-smoker.

I believe that people smoke because:
1:Friends and family do it,
2:Give in to peer pressure.
3:A 'cool' feel
I was speaking to a smoker during the lecture and even he beliefs number 3 to be the most true, however his father does smoke as well.

Smoking isn't necessary a bad thing but a extremely unhealthy one, which younger people in particular are susceptible to. Famous people like 'Brad Pitt' who smoke in films are sending out negative images to young people especially the ones that are at a vulnerable age.
I work in a place where 80% of the staff smoke and it is a bit annoying when they have a fag 'brake' every 30 mins when they are supposed to be working.

To sum up, smoking isn't 'bad' because it isn't considered anti-social, it may be unhealthy but there are worse bad things going on in the world like crime to merely pick on smoking.

INFIDELITY

This lecture was like an extended Jerry Springer show!
People have problems and issues and were willing to share them with students who are essentially stangers. They have courage especially the lady who said that her husband was a hypocrite as he often didn't talk to people who have affairs - only to later do it himself.

I never really thought that People who have affairs are doing it to test their true feelings of their partners because I always thought it was a physical thing.

Anyway must dash

p.s. A film that deals with adultery/infidelity is 'The English Patient'.
Adultery can put your life in danger when when the jealous husband finds out.

My first post!!!!

My first impressions of the module and the class are positive.
I believe that this module will be exciting and interesting.
The introductory games though do stand out. There are some seriously weird people around and I'm gunna keep looking over my shoulder!!

Anyway I hope to do well in this module and I think I will.

ps. Two of my revelations have been read out in consecutive weeks - so I must be a even bigger psycho...... though not as bad as this guy!
